Installation & Repairs

Clean Septics can repair or install completely new septic systems. Our technicians can help assist you through the entire septic design & installation process. We use local engineers who perform percolation tests & designs. We can guide you through each step.

Septic Tanks

Over time, concrete corrodes and weakens. Septic tanks are made of concrete and, on average, have to be replaced every 20 years or so. Let us evaluate your existing tank to see if it is corroded and structurally unsound. When necessary, we'll install a new tank for you.

D-Boxes

D-boxes are also made of concrete that needs to be replaced every so often. Usually, we unearth this problem during an inspection or assessment. Replacing an old d-box is essential to the life of a septic system, because if it collapses and fills up with dirt, it can ruin the system completely.

Inlet & Outlet Baffles

Both inlet and outlet baffles are required on all tanks. If you don't have one, get one installed immediately to prolong the life of your system. Outlet baffles block grease and toilet paper, also known as the scum layer, from leaving the tank. This scum layer produces carryover and particles that are suspended in the water, which can clog your leach field.

Filters

Filters go into the outlet baffle and stop carryover from leaving the tank. They help minimize the amount of carryover going into your leach field. These should be installed and cleaned manually.

Risers

Risers go on the septic tank manholes and raise the level to the ground surface or just below. They are essential in the winter when the ground is frozen. Risers give you easy access to locate and pump your tank. They eliminate locating and digging costs, which pays for itself by eliminating those costs.

Pumps & Floats

Not all systems are gravity feed systems; some use a pump to move water to the leach field. Inside the pump chamber is a pump that does just that. They typically last about 10 years. When something is wrong or your pump or floats need to be replaced, an alarm will sound. Call us at (413) 583-2138 and we will replace these pieces as necessary.
